bathroom remodel – week five

monday was another big day for progress as they started turning to more finishing touches. all the walls are now put back together, textured, and ready to be painted. the cabinets are assembled, installed, and primed for the countertop. toilet is ready to go back in.

tuesday morning we snuck in to make sure the wall behind the toilet got painted b/c after they set the toilet there’s no practical way to get back behind the tank. you can see that it was never painted to begin with.

now with the countertop installed and the tub roughly in place you can really start to see things coming together. the animals seem to enjoy the space, too. for the most part they’ve been kept out of the bathroom for a month.

now we need to figure out the mirror situation, I think I’m going to put in a couple more can lights, def change the bulbs which are a very warm color, and maybe try and tackle some speaker installs. we shall see how I’m feeling in the next week or two.

there are still some items here and there to get taken care of but we’re down to the home stretch. some of the hardware was missing, they’ll be painting the new sheetrock, threshold for going from the carpet to tile, setting the tub, and installing the tub filler. all of that will have to wait until we get the tub filler in hand then they’ll come back and finish up the job. until then we at least have sinks and a toilet.
stay tuned
