monday came around and the story was more tile and lots of little plastic tile holders.
it’s tuesday and you guessed it. more tile. i can’t say that I minded them being slow and meticulous. this is the day when they started to do a bunch of the edges. apparently, our bathroom has a bunch of random angles and required a whole bunch of cutting. you can see the cardboard stencils they were making that then translated to some intricately cut tiles.
wednesday more tile. i think at this point they had the toilet room done and had also repaired the toilet flange that’s been bent since we moved in. my attempts to fix it were short-lived.
thursday there were just a few more tiles to put together and a couple they relayed before starting to cut the baseboards. baseboards didn’t go in until later but they started to get dry fit while the tile was all curing.
friday was a big day. everything got grouted and by the end of the day, the cabinetry was in the house. the cabinets had been taking up some space in my garage and I was super happy to get that back.
major progress this week. really starting to come together
